Because I keep getting distracted, like being whisked off to hot and sticky jungles, I keep forgetting to make this post.

Most of those on the X-Men will already have heard that I have stepped down as an active member. I think it's been a long time in coming, all things considering, since the last official time was...what, 6 months ago? Give or take a few weeks.

After I stepped down, I was ironically given a job offer through Remy to join Pete and him and their merry band (...oh, that will give me plenty of amusing mental images for hours to come). So I will not be going very far at all.

I will also be pursuing my PhD so if any of you wish to pray for me on that level, I will take it. It's been so very long since I was on the other end of the class room.

Don't worry too much about the classroom side of it. It's like riding a bike, says your former fellow "mature" student. If I could come back from hunting nukes in Pakistan or the like and get right back into the swing of law school, you'll survive balancing the Ph.D. with working for Pete. Really.

It really rather worries me that you're comparing me doing my PhD and working with Pete Wisdom to you hunting nuclear weapons and doing law school.

Are you still cheerfully medicated?
